80% funding: How to finance AI consultancy through INQA

As an authorised INQA coach, I can support coaching projects with up to 80 per cent funding. What this means in practice, who is eligible and what the first step involves.

As an authorised INQA coach, I can support coaching projects with up to 80 per cent funding. If your organisation is eligible for funding, you will ultimately only pay 20 per cent of the fee yourself. The remainder is funded by the INQA coaching programme run by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs.

Who is eligible

The funding applies to organisations that meet all four of the following criteria:

  • Fewer than 250 employees
  • At least one permanent full-time post
  • Active for at least two years
  • Based in Germany

Charitable organisations are expressly included: associations, foundations, NGOs and social enterprises. Most of the organisations I work with meet all four criteria.

What is funded

The programme funds up to 12 days of coaching over a maximum of 7 months. Your organisation’s contribution is 20 per cent; the grant covers the remainder. The programme runs until the end of 2028, but funding is not unlimited.

The process in four steps

Step 1: Initial consultation with me. Together, we’ll clarify whether INQA coaching is suitable for your situation and which topics would be relevant. No quote, no commitment – just an honest discussion.

Step 2: Initial consultation at your regional INQA advice centre. The INQA advice centre is an independent body that assesses your eligibility for funding. The consultation is free of charge. You can find your regional advice centre here.

Step 3: INQA coaching voucher. If the assessment is positive, the advice centre will issue a coaching voucher. The coaching can only officially begin once you have this voucher. This is an important point: apply for the voucher first, then start.

Step 4: The coaching begins. With the voucher, we can get started. The programme can last from 12 days up to 7 months. The process, the topics and the pace are tailored to your organisation.

What we do during the coaching

How it works

INQA coaching follows a set framework. To begin with, we hold brief discussions with the management team and a few staff members: What’s going well, and what isn’t? What challenges does digitalisation present in your day-to-day work?

Based on this, we develop a specific set of questions during a joint kick-off workshop. You then set up a small working group made up of your staff. This group works on their own ideas for solutions over three cycles of approximately four weeks each: testing, adapting, refining. After each cycle, we review together what has worked and what hasn’t.

My focus areas

New ways of working with AI, how teams can build digital skills, and what specifically could run more smoothly in your daily processes. We’ll work out together which tools make sense for this – there’s no one-size-fits-all package.

What makes this different

I don’t arrive with a ready-made solution. Your staff develop it themselves; I simply guide the process. The team can then take what’s been created and run with it themselves.

If you’d like to find out whether this is right for your organisation, give me a quick call or book an appointment. The initial consultation is free and lasts 25 or 45 minutes.
